Lackawanna Station, located in downtown Montclair, has been given new life as a vibrant hub where creativity and community come together. It also happens to be the only mall in America made up entirely of independent businesses.

Visitors are invited to shop at Montclair Flea and The Little Shops, which offer everything from handmade jewelry to rare vintage finds. There’s also RecRoom, a coworking space; Ironbound Farm Market, a sustainable farm stop; Boozie’s Wine Shoppe & Mini Bar; and more.

Lackawanna Station is located in the heart of downtown Montclair at 1 Lackawanna Plaza. It was originally a train station that was built in 1913 and was decommissioned in the 1980s.

Does Lackawanna Station have a parking lot?

There are two large parking lots on either side of Lackawanna Station, with 400 spaces available in total. Parking fees are hourly and paid directly through the Honk app. QR codes for the app are displayed all over the parking lots. 

Additionally, there is surrounding street parking.

How do I get to Lackawanna Station?

Lackawanna Station is easily accessible via driving or public transportation. We are approximately 2.5 miles from Exit 148 (Bloomfield) off the Garden State Parkway.

NJ Transit bus routes 11, 28, 29, 34, and 97 pass near Lackawanna Station. If traveling by train, take the Montclair-Boonton line to the Bay Street Station, which is a short walk to Lackawanna Station. 

What are Lackawanna Station’s hours?

Lackawanna Station is open Monday to Thursday from 10am to 8pm, Friday from 10am to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 8pm, and Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
