The mission of Ironbound Farm Market at Lackawanna Station is to create a more resilient local food system that generates viable revenue streams for farmers, supports local producers/artisans and provides more nutrient-dense food to our whole community. By collapsing the supply chain and having regional farmers bring their agricultural products directly to the market, they are keeping a much larger percentage of the retail dollar, and our customers are paying less because we have cut out the middlemen. And together, we are controlling everything “from seed to shelf."
